Honors Program Scholarships

Are you an Honors student currently working on your thesis?
Apply for the Robert K. Thomas, Khona Family, or Robert Booker scholarships!

Deadline: 
     Winter- November 1
     Spring/Summer- March 1 
     Fall- July 1

The Robert K. Thomas Scholarship is named after the founder of the Brigham Young University Honors Program. The scholarship is worth $1,000 and is awarded to applicants who:

  1. Are committed BYU undergraduate Honors student.
  2. Have completed at least 10 or more credit hours of Honors course work.
  3. Have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade-point average.
  4. Have an approved Honors Thesis Proposal.
  5. Have already completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form for the current academic year to demonstrate financial need.

Please do not apply if you do not meet the five criteria described above.

Please download the application and then fill it out.  You can either print it and submit it to 102B MSRB or save a completed version and email it as an attachment to Carolyn Tuitupou (carolyn_tuitupou@byu.edu).


The Khona Family Scholarship is for Honors Program Students with a major in the Marriott School of Business. It awards half tuition. You can download the application here.

The Robert Booker Scholarship is for Honors Program Students with a major in one of the departments within the College of Humanities. It awards half tuition. You can download the application here.

The same criteria that applies to Robert K. Thomas also applies to the Khona and Booker Scholarships.
