Purpose: This fellowship awards up to $24,000 to cover tuition, required fees, books, and room and board. The James Madison Fellowship was established by Congress for the purpose of improving teaching about the United States Constitution in secondary school.
Qualifications: Students must either currently posses a bachelor's degree, or plan to receive a bachelor's degree no later than August 31 of the year in which you are applying. After earning the degree, fellows are obligated to teach grades 7-12 for one year for each full year of study under the fellowship.
