National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowship


Description: The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship (NDSEG) provides funding for students to earn a doctoral degree in science or engineering in order to increase the number and quality of our nation's scientists and engineers.
Qualifications: NDSEG fellowships are intended for U.S. citizens or nationals at or near the beginning of their graduate study in science or engineering. Fellowships are tenable only at U.S. institutions of higher education offering doctoral degrees in the areas of science and engineering (a list of specialties is provided on the website). You do not have to have been accepted by such a graduate program at the time your application is submitted.
Amount: Full tuition and required fees, a stipend of $31,000 for the first year, and minimum insurance cover
Application Process: In addition to the application, students also submit their transcripts, GRE scores, and three reference evaluation forms
